FAQ

Question

What is the make up of the congregation?

Answer

Our congregation consists of people from every race, of many languages and nationalities, of all ages, educational levels, marital statuses, and economic levels.

Question

What are your worship services like?

Answer

Both the New Testament and early church records show that Christians met together frequently for prayer, for teaching, mutual encouragement and fellowship. While such meetings were held at different times, one practice stands out as uniform.   The church met on the “first day of the week” (Sunday) at which time they listened to the reading of scripture and to preaching, sang songs and hymns of praise to God (Ephesians 5:19,20), prayed, and observed the Lord’s Supper which was a memorial of Jesus. (I Corinthians 11)  In our church, you will find all these things being done.  At the Sunday meetings, an “invitation” for people to become Christians is usually extended following the sermon and plans for baptism are made.  Opportunity is also given for members of the church to make financial contributions to the work of the church.

Question

As a visitor, will I have to stand up in front of the congregation?

Answer

We do like to acknowledge all of our guests but you need not stand if you don’t desire, and no, we will not put you on the  spot!

Question

Are your facilities accessible for people with disabilities?

Answer

Yes, there is a front entrance at grade level for wheelchair accessibility.  Also, our doors and aisles are wide enough for wheelchair entry.

“And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God. Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.”
